Lincoln Hall

Born December 6, 1899 in Santa Paula California attended Briggs School and Santa Paula High School, graduating in 1919.

He attended Davis Agricultural School in Davis, California.

1916 C.I.F. Polevault Champion. (11 ft. 9 in.)

1916 C.I.F. Broadjump Champion. (21-5 1/2 ft.)

1915 State Polevault Champion. (11 ft. 6 in.)

1968 Served as honorary referee for the Golden Anniversary C.I.F. State Track Meet in Berkeley, California in recognition of his historic feats.

After serving in the U.S. Navy during World War 1, Hall became a wholesale distributor of Standard Oil Products in Santa Paula until he retired in 1967.

Jim Hibbs

Born September 10, 1944 in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

Attended St. Catherine’s Academy, Cabrillo Junior High School, Anacapa Junior High, and Ventura High School graduating 1962.

Lettered in three sports at Ventura High School, football, basketball and baseball 1960-61-62.

1960-61-62 varsity catcher on baseball team.

All-league selection in baseball two years, 1961-62.

1962 All-C.I.F. catcher

1962 Inducted into Ventura High School Hall of Fame.

1962 Awarded Max Houligan Award.

1963 Most Valuable player on Stanford University freshman baseball team.

1964 Most Valuable Stanford University varsity baseball team.

1964 Member of the U.S.A. Olympic baseball team. Led the team in hitting .379 and homeruns with four.

1965 Led the Stanford University Baseball Team to league and regional championships.

1965 All-League and All-Coast first team catcher Stanford University baseball team.

1966 Captain and Co-most Valuable player of the Stanford University Baseball Team. All-League and All-Coast first team. First team All-American.

1973 Inducted into Stanford Athletic Hall of Fame.

1966-73 Jim played professional baseball for the Dodgers, Cincinnati Reds, Chicago Cubs, California Angels organizations.

Born October 18, 1916 in Los Alamos, California.

Graduated from Santa Maria High School 1934.
Lettered in two sports at Santa Maria High School, football and track 1931-32-33-34.

Graduated from Santa Barbara State College 1939.
Lettered four years in football at Santa Barbara State College where he was an outstanding running back also competed in track and baseball.

Competed in amateur boxing starting in 1932 continuing though his tour of duty in the Navy.

Played on the Santa Barbara Athletic Club rugby team 1936-37-38.

Albert “Al” Young

Born July 1, 1914 in Los Angeles, California.

Attended elementary and high school in Oxnard.

Competed four years in football at Oxnard High School selected all conference and team captain in his senior year. Also competed in basketball and track and was outstanding in both sports.

1934-35 Ventura Junior College, all conference in football 2 years and was captain of the basketball team.

1936-37 Santa Barbara State Teachers College all conference in football 2 years and also participated in basketball, rugby and baseball.

Oxnard 1940 coached basketball and baseball at Oxnard High School.

1947-48 Coached Semi-professional football in Oxnard.

1947 Inducted into University of California at Santa Barbara’s Sports Hall of Fame.
